Playing safe with MIRO SAFE

April 18, 2007

Murrelektronik‘s product portfolio in the field of interfaces includes interfaces, switch cabinet couplings, relays, and optocouplers. We plan to expand the portfolio. In the future, Murrelektronik will be offering Miro Safety Relays which prevent accidents and reduce system and machine downtimes. This not only guarantees greater safety, it also improves economic efficiency – for a wide range of industries.

MIRO Safety Relays offer many options for securing work processes and protecting employees. They monitor emergency-stop circuits and guard doors, control light barriers and light curtains, and implement two-handed controls and step-on protection mats. In a nutshell, these relays are key components in the continuous safety chain.

The wide range of MIRO Safety Relays permit applications that comply with the requirements of Safety Category 4. This is the highest possible classification in accordance with EN 954-1. It means that Murrelektronik relays offer the greatest risk reduction and maximum protection of man and machinery.

When viewed from the economic aspect, the use of high-level safety technology also makes a positive contribution to the budget. Since MIRO Safety Relays detect danger early, they also help to prevent negative consequences. They permit shorter downtime and even make production outages rarer – and that definitely means reduced costs.

MIRO Safety Relays offer maximum functionality. Their slim design takes up minimum space in the switch cabinet since their housing are only 22.5 millimeters wide. Plug-in terminals and simple wiring processes make for rapid installation. Optional double spring-loaded terminals increase flexibility. The user-friendly circuit diagrams attached on the devices minimize the risk of faulty wiring.
