Sales Engineer - Positions Available Nationwide

Position: Sales Engineer

Description:
Murrelektronik is a global leader in connectivity solutions and we are growing rapidly! As a result, we are looking for qualified candidates to fill new positions as sales engineers nationwide. Through this career starting position, the right candidate will grow with our company, develop new territories and establish lasting relationships with clients while building their own skills as a professional sales person.

The ideal candidate will enjoy the challenge of solving technical based problems and finding creative solutions within the product offerings that only a global manufacturer like Murrelektronik can provide. Candidates will be required to work both independently as well as within a team environment.

Murrelektronik places a strong emphasis on training and development and will provide a 3 week orientation to our company and products at our German Headquarters outside Stuttgart. This will be followed by additional training and development in the USA via on the job training and continued support from our regional managers.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Develop a thorough understanding of Murrelektronik products and applications through classes, seminars and on-the-job training.
• Work with experienced salespeople to develop sales skills using real life examples.
• Provide technical consultation and service to customers. Solve their application issues using Murrelektronik’s products.
• Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in adapting to both Murrelektronik’s expectations and the opportunities presented by our customers.
• Travel to customer locations four/five days a week and work successfully in a wide variety of manufacturing environments.
 
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Four-year college degree in a technical field.
• Interest and aptitude to understand machine functionality.
• Interest in working in manufacturing environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to listen and proactively react to customer questions and requests.
• Goal-oriented and extremely hard working with a desire to make a measurable contribution to Murrelektronik’s success.
• Understand and abide by all company policies and procedures: including professional dress code, punctuality, attendance, and sales policies.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight travel.
