Ask the Expert!
Our interview with Craig Fox, Sr Product Manager - Connectivity, continues this week as we find out "What sets the M12 L-coded connector apart?"

The smaller footprint of the L-coded connector allows devices to have a more compact power connection, while at the same time its higher capacity allows those same devices to do more or control more energy.
The M12 Power family, and specifically the L-code variant within that family, is becoming the new standard for power connections in the industry.
The L-code has been designated as the new standard by PNO, and we see similar developments happening in other industry organizations as well.
The L-code comes in both 4 and 5-pole variants, both rated to 63V DC with a rated current capacity up to 16A per pin.
